Joanne Bell succeeds Ken Wagstaff
Citizens Who Care, Yolo County's private nonprofit agency for the elderly, on Wednesday named Joanne Bell as its new Executive Director. She replaces Ken Wagstaff, who wants to devote more time to his family and is stepping down after five years at the helm.
Bell brings experience as former director of Woodland United Way, United Way California Capital Region, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Yolo County, and the Heidrick Agricultural History Center in Woodland. She is a substitute teacher at Woodland High School. Bell was chosen from a field of over 50 applicants. She is a resident of Woodland.
"We are delighted to have Joanne aboard," said Jim Hutchinson, president of CWC's Board of Directors. "Our services and volunteers will be in very good hands." He praised Wagstaff for his work at CWC, noting "he guided us successfully in difficult economic times."
Bell will be introduced at CWC's annual Winter Concert at the Davis Veteran's Memorial Center on February 20 and 21.
